Lucknow: The inauguration of the RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) Center marked a significant step forward in the Lucknow Municipal Corporation’s efforts to prepare for the Swachh Survey 2024 under the Swachh Bharat Mission. Situated near the parking area at Gol Market in Zone-3, the RRR Center was inaugurated by Zonal Officer Alankar Agnihotri, with an inspiring message for residents: “Leave whatever you have here – take whatever you need from here.”
Regional Sanitation and Food Inspector Sanchita Mishra took charge of operational arrangements for the center, while Zonal Sanitary Officer Jitendra Kumar Gandhi emphasized that what might seem like waste to one person could serve as a valuable resource for another. This idea was reinforced through a public awareness program aimed at illustrating the role of the RRR Center in waste management and sustainable living.
Regional residents, councilors, and various community organizations, including Ganga Samagra Lucknow Mahanagar Swachhata Protsahan Samiti, Seva Sansthan, Nari Vikas Samiti Nandini Society Lucknow, and Rashtriya Sanatan Mahasangh, contributed essential items to the center. Two employees were appointed to manage donor and recipient details, ensuring smooth operations and efficient distribution.
